Home Studio | A Dream of a Dreamer

Well, in reference to my post of March 2, 2008 about leaving behind my electric and bass guitar in the Philippines, it was just for the reason of over-baggage and empty pockets and wallet in the Manila Airport. God, I miss my guitars (hehe, my wife's gonna kill me)!!! It's a different kind of missing, eh. It's really difficult that you cannot have or do the things that you love and left you craving for it. I miss playing it, fiddling with the chords, singing with it, embrace it, sleep with it, f&c* (face) it!!! heheeh! 'Just a joke.
I was planning of bringing my guitars here to Qatar plus their amplifiers through air or sea freight and I asked my friend working in the procurement section of our company to ask quotations from DHL on how much cost will it take. I was shocked that it will cost as much as buying a new electric guitar!! I've been thinking if I'm going to spend that much, I would rather buy a new electric guitar and probably sell those electric guitars I have in the Philippines through Ebay, hehe.. But, since I'm planning to set up my own music studio and hopefully start doing business with it, i might not sell it and I think that's a better idea.
Music Studio? Yup, that's one of my biggest dreams, to own a professional music studio. And I need more than electric guitars and amplifiers. Browsing in the internet plus a little bit of experience on home recording have given me better ideas on how to start my simple professional home studio and I am planning to have it in the next two years. I believe I need the following the most:

1. A room or place wide enough for my studio properly treated for a good studio sound recording
2. A bunch of electric guitars and other musical instruments (electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, drum set, good-sounding mics, keyboards, others)
3. Amplifiers and mixers
4. Digital recording equipment such as high-end PC and recording software

The only question is, will I be able to get this dream within the next two years?? hehe...
